In April of 2018 we were on the ground in Nepal to re-visit the site of our new secondary school building in the underprivileged area of Shree Sakala Devi, Devchuli, Nawalparasi, Nepal.

The new school building will take the place of the old building which following the earthquake of 2015 and a very harsh monsoon was deemed completely unsafe for the children and teachers to enter and needed to be rebuilt.

With the help of the community the new school building will be ready by August of 2018.

We met with the community, the teachers and the children to discuss the progress of the project.

There has been great community support since the beginning of this project and it is as strong as ever today with members of the children's families supporting the construction in anyway that they can.

We look forward to welcoming the children into their new building in late August with the project being completed on time and within budget.

This project was made possible by our very generous donors and supporters.  We held our Thames River Cruise fundraiser in the summer of 2017 when friends family and colleagues dug deep to support this cause, see photos of the event.

Please see below for photos of the building progress, our visit and of course the warm welcome with singing and dancing from the extremely talented children.

The New School In Laharepauwa, Nepal. Completed January 2017

Many schools in Nepal remain in total disrepair since the devastating earthquake of 2015.  Working with our trusted local network Indigo Children's fund have recently funded and completed the rebuilding of a school in Laharepauwa, Nepal.

The school was a great success and is being used by local government as a sign of hope and inspiration for other groups showing what can be achieved.  We are looking forward to similar success with our upcoming project
