SCHOOL RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Reconstruction of 4 school rooms made completely unsafe and unusable in the earthquake of 2015.
This 10 classroom school has 4 rooms that have been left derelict since the earthquake, making conditions in the remaining classrooms very difficult. Multiple classes are being taught at the same time in one room. Parents are taking their children away from the school as education standards are dropping.
This project is along the same lines as our work in Builingtar, Shree Sakal Devi and Laharepauwa.
The hope is that construction of these rooms will greatly improve the day to day lives of the students and teachers and the improvement in education will draw students back to the school.
This remote and rural are sits at an elevation of 1700m and has very poor road access making construction and logistics challenging but achievable. We are ready to begin this project within the next 6 weeks.
